cPanel Zone Editor Interface

The Zone Editor interface in your cPanel control panel lets you create and manage your DNS zone files. DNS can be considered as the phonebook of the internet. DNS associates various information, most importantly IP addresses, with the domain names assigned to these entities.

Please note that modifying your DNS zone records may cause access problems to your website, emails etc. We highly recommend that you do not modify these records unless you're confident that you know how DNS works.

Accessing the Zone Editor interface

Login to your cPanel control panel using your web browser. Go to 'http://www.yourdomain.com/cpanel/' (without the quotation marks). So if your domain name is 'example.com' you should go to 'http://www.example.com/cpanel/' to login to your control panel. The Zone Editor interface is in the "Domains" tab, simply click on the name or the icon to enter.
