cPanel WordPress Manager Interface

The WordPress Manager interface in your cPanel control panel lets you manage new or existing WordPress® sites on your cPanel account.

Accessing the WordPress Manager interface

Login to your cPanel control panel using your web browser. Go to 'http://www.yourdomain.com/cpanel/' (without the quotation marks). So if your domain name is 'example.com' you should go to 'http://www.example.com/cpanel/' to login to your control panel. The WordPress Manager interface is in the "Applications" tab, simply click on the name or the icon to enter.

Creating a WordPress website

To create a new WordPress website, click "New Site" at the top of the interface and you'll be transferred to cPanel's "Site Software" interface for you to complete creation of the site.

Discovering existing WordPress websites

To find and manage existing WordPress websites on your account, click "Discover Sites" at the top of the interface and the system will search for any existing WordPress sites and add them to the list. You can use this interface to manage those sites after the system discovers and adds them,.

Managing a WordPress website

  • Locate the website you'd like to manage and click "Manage".
  • The "Overview" tab lists the website's basic settings.
  • The "Admin" tab lets you update a WordPress administrator's password.
  • The "Database" tab lists information about the website's database settings and lets you update the database user's password.
  • The "Backup" tab lists information about the website's backup features and lets you create or restore backups.
