WHM Mail Delivery Reports Interface

The Mail Delivery Reports interface in your WHM control panel lets you review information about the email messages that your users sent and received.

Accessing the Mail Delivery Reports interface

Login to your WHM control panel using your web browser. Go to 'http://www.yourdomain.com/whm/' (without the quotation marks). So if your domain name is 'example.com' you should go to 'http://www.example.com/whm/' to login to your control panel. The Mail Delivery Reports interface is in the "Email" tab, simply click on the name to enter.

Using the Report Inquiry section

  • You can define your search parameters in this section.
  • Enter the text to search for in the "Search..." textbox. Search terms are optional.
  • Select the part of the email to query from the dropdown menu next to the "Search..." textbox.
  • Select the type of text search from the "Search Type:" radio button menu.
  • Select the type of delivery to search for from the "Delivery Type:" radio button menu.
  • Select the "Start Date:" and "End Date:" to configure the date interval to search for.
  • Select the "Start Time:" and "End Time:" to configure the time interval to search for.
  • Click the "Run Report" button.

Understanding the results

  • "Event" column indicates the email's delivery status with an icon.
    • The system successfully delivered the message. The system successfully delivered the message.

      The message encountered a delivery error. The message encountered a delivery error.
      The system rejected and discarded the message at SMTP time. The system rejected and discarded the message at SMTP time. This generally occurs when the sender's server does not use a secure configuration or is listed on a Realtime BlackList (RBL).
  • "From Address" column shows the email address that sent the email.
  • "Sender" column shows the system user that sent the email.
  • "Sent Time" column shows the date and time the email was sent.
  • "Spam Score" column shows the score the system assigned to the email based on the number of spam-related traits.
  • "Recipient" column shows the email address the message was sent to.
  • "ID" column shows the unique identifier for the outgoing email.
  • "Result" column shows the result of the email transaction.
  • "Actions" column provides the ability to view and print the information about the selected email by clicking the magnifying glass icon.

  4. Choose the help desk you'd like to send your support ticket to from the "Help Desk" dropdown menu.
  5. Enter the support ticket subject and your message in the appropriate text boxes.
